ToggleUSING YOUR INSTAGRAM ARCHIVE FOR POSTS
The Instagram “archive” feature has a separate section for stories, live streams, and posts. The Instagram “Posts” feature has an opt-in feature that you have to use manually.
Instagram does not automatically archive posts that has been deleted or old like other systems but they only archive stories and live streams.
HOW YOU CAN ACCESS INSTAGRAM ARCHIVES TO VIEW YOUR POSTS
Whenever you archive a post, it will remain there until you manually delete it or un-archive it. As mentioned above, Instagram Archive gets seperate split between posts, stories, and live content. You will want to view your posts.
HOW TO ACCESS THE INSTAGRAM ARCHIVE:
Open “Instagram,” App then tap your “profile icon” in the bottom-right section.
Choose the “hamburger icon” (three horizontal lines) menu in the top-right section.
Click on “Archive.”
The “Archive” menu appears to you, showing your stories by default. To see your archived posts, click on the “downward arrowhead” next to “Stories Archive” and select “Posts archive.”
Your archived posts now appears to you.
As it was mentioned above, the archive is for you only and is not ofr public view.
HOW TO ARCHIVE INSTAGRAM POSTS
Right from the “Home” page, tap on your “profile icon” in the bottom-right section.
Choose “Posts” at the top next to your profile thumbnail.
Click on the post you want to archive.
Click on the “vertical ellipsis” (three vertical dots) in the top-right section of the post.
Select “Archive” in the list of options that appear. This action will remove the post from your profile. Followers and the public cannot view it anymore.
Your Instagram post will now appear in your archives for later use.

HOW YOU CAN UNARCHIVE INSTAGRAM POSTS
Unarchiving Instagram posts is very direct when you want to bring a post out of hidden and back into your profile. Log in to your Instagram archive and choose the option to show it on your profile again.
There is no any restore option, just the choice to place the archived post on your profile. Importantly, that is the same thing in this situation.
Opem the “Instagram” on your “profile page.” Select the “burger icon” (three horizontal lines) menu in the top right section.
Select “Archive.”
Click on the “downward arrowhead” next to “Stories Archive” and select “Posts Archive.”
Select the post you want to unarchive and select the “horizontal ellipsis” (three horizontal dots) menu icon.
Choose “Show on Profile” from the listed options
Conclusively, the Instagram archive feature is a good idea that gives you control over what others see, whether for personal use or business.
While we are changing to the temporal nature of online life, some things are worth keeping for the longer term. If you can’t keep those memories close, at least you can preserve them on Instagram.
