A representative for the actor told The Associated Press that Jeremy Renner is still in critical but stable condition after surgery. The actor is still being treated in an ICU.
According to Renner’s rep on Monday, the Marvel star, who plays ace archer Clint Barton/Hawkeye in the superhero films Avengers and the Disney+ series “Hawkeye,” sustained blunt chest trauma in addition to orthopedic injuries in a snow plow accident on Sunday in Reno, Nevada.
According to the statement, “Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses caring for him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve,” among others. They are also extremely overwhelmed and grateful for the fan’s outpouring of love and support.”
His family is with him while he receives treatment, according to a statement that was shared with a number of media outlets on Sunday, including The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, and Deadline.
In a press release, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said that Renner was injured in Reno and had to be flown to the hospital. The release says that the sheriff’s office is looking into the incident because he was the only one involved.
According to the Reno Gazette Journal, Renner was run over by his own vehicle on New Year’s Day while getting out of a snow plow he owns at his home on the side of a snow mountain to assist a stranded vehicle.
In 2019, Renner told the outlet that he chose Washoe County because Reno was the right size for him. Renner owns a home there. It has grand view and permitted him and his family to much of the time ski.
Renner, 51, is currently starring in the series “Mayor of Kingstown” on Paramount+. On January 15, the second season premieres.

In 2017, he revealed he fractured both of his arms while filming a stunt on the set of his movie “Tag.”
“I’m sort of a problem solver, you know. There will be an effect to it, but it won’t stop me from doing things that I need to be doing,” Renner said, “I’ll heal fast. I’m doing everything I can to heal faster.”
By the time the television series began, he made light of the fact that his Hawkeye moves were “a little bit more painful.”
